Tuition includes 39 private lessons, 4 group classes/Working Recitals/duet coachings and a Studio Recital.  There is no tuition refund once term begins.

The deposit covers event entry fees, music, books, supplies, and a $60 recital/technology/library fee/registration fee. Unused supply fees will be applied to the next year’s course of study. If lessons are terminated the supply fee balance will be refunded at the conclusion of the term of study or applied to the Supply Account of the student’s currently enrolled sibling.

If lessons are suspended but not terminated and the family asks that the balance remain in the Supply Account until student resumes lessons or a sibling begins lessons, then the balance remains in the family’s account until requested. If no request has been made by June 30 of that same year, and neither the student nor a sibling is currently enrolled in the studio, then the balance will not be refunded.

Registration Fee: The supply fee deposit includes a non-refundable $60 registration fee that secures student’s lesson day and time for 2026-2027. If the student declares intent to enroll but withdraws enrollment after registration and before the first lesson of any term, student’s supply fee is refunded minus the registration fee.

Policies

  • Missed Lessons

    • Student Cancellation: There are no make-ups for missed lessons. If you cannot attend your regularly scheduled lesson:
      • Exchange the lesson with another student. Lessons need not be exchanged within the same week; students can take 2 lessons in 1 week. If the lessons exchanged are of unequal length, the longer lesson loses the difference in time.
      • Remote lesson when parents notify the studio by 1:00pm.
      • Parent Lesson in studio or remotely in order to coach student at home.
      • Parent conference in studio, by telephone or remotely to discuss student progress.
    • Student Illness: If a student cannot exchange the lesson, any future opening in the schedule will be made available. Students notified in dated order of missed lesson.
    • Teacher Cancellation: Lessons always made up at the studio.
    • Weather Delays/Closings: Lessons take place in-studio or conducted virtually, depending on student preference.

    All lessons must be concluded during the term in which student is currently enrolled.

  • Exchanging Lessons of Unequal Length: If lessons of unequal length are exchanged, the longer lesson loses the difference in time.

  • Group Classes: Group Classes/Recitals that must be cancelled for any reason will not be made up.

  • Communication: Short communications by email. Longer communications by telephone or during the lesson. Conferences of 25 minutes duration or longer will be counted against the duration of the next lesson.

  • Concluding Lessons: Sometimes it is clear that a student is not thriving in the program. In order that the student ends lessons gracefully it is wisest to discontinue lessons at the end of the current term. Please give 1 month’s notice to terminate lessons; otherwise student will be assessed 1 month’s tuition.
